"Mad Max"

I can't believe Max is 2 weeks old already! Yesterday we had our 2 week checkup. I totally made Mike come to the appointment with me. I swear Max has not forgiven me from all the poking, needles, IV's etc he had to have in his 1st few days of life. I knew he would have to have his little foot pricked for the PKU test and I didn't want him to think "when is this woman going to stop causing me all this pain?" I told Mike he would have to do all the soothing and calming when the time came. We have nick named Max "Mad Max" because when he is ticked off the world knows it. He is a total drama king ( I wonder where he gets that from?) I was completely prepared for a Max melt down. Of course when the nurse stabs Max's foot Mike is feeding him a bottle so Max doesn't care in the slightest. That is so Mike's luck...once again Daddy is the hero and I am still the woman who causes him pain. lol :) He weighed in at 9.3lbs so he gained all his weight back and is now 22" long. As cute as ever! He even peed on the nurse...showed her for making him get naked on the cold scale.
Today he had his 1st bath in his baby tub..he loved it. He especially loves his hair being washed. He is a total grunter and sounds like a billie goat most the time. Its so funny. He keep Mike and I entertained. Here is a super duper slide show...what can I say we are proud parents!

7 days old

Andwhat a 7 days it has been. This has been the best and scariest week of mine and Mike's life. 2 days after we brought Max home we had to admit him into Primary Childrens Hospital. His Billie levels (Jaundice) were high and he was dehydrated. The staff at PCH were so amazing...they took every precaution and ran every test just to make sure. It was so comforting to be in such good hands. For 2 days Mike, myself and a few family members camped out while our little one got all his fluids, spent some time getting his tan on, and getting back to his cute little self. It was very eye opening to be around so many sick babies. I can tell you it made Mike and I so gratful our little boy is healthy. We are so blessed. It makes you feel really blessed and puts things into perspective be quickly. It really lets you know what is truly the most important. Max is our world. Mike enjoyed each shift change so a new nurse could comment on how much Max looks like his daddy..Mike loves that! Max is doing so well and we are so glad to be back home. He is eating and peeing like a champ! In Fact he has managed to pee all over mommy and Grandma Helion. We love him more and more each day. We hope you enjoy this weeks photos!!

The love of our life has arrived...and he is PERFECT! Maximilian Ovaness Baghoomian

After 16 hours of incrediblily long of the labor ....October 7, 2008 at 10:47pm Mike and I welcomed Maximilian Ovaness Baghoomian into the world. Our baby boy was a family record setter weighing a wopping 9lbs 2oz, 20 1/2"long, lots of dark hair and super long eyelashes. We are so grateful he is healthy and the most perfect thing Mike and I have ever seen. There isn't enough words to describe how ridiculously in love Mike and I are. My Doctor said he was going to be big baby...so I repeatedly prayed I wouldn't have an 8lb baby. As my mom put it "well God didn't give you an 8lb baby did he?...maybe next time you should be more specific." lol. He was the biggest baby in the nursery! But we love every juicy little inch of our lil guy! He has the biggest feet and hands you have ever seen on a newborn. Not one of his newborn outfits will fit...he is so damn cute. Our friend Kristie brought her 1month old baby (Max's future Wife) to visit us in the hospital. Max is thicker than she is and she has 4 weeks on him! You can see them side by side in the slide show..its pretty cute! Mike and I had no idea this kind of love existed...we just can't stop staring. We have never felt so complete in our lives!
Welcome Baby Max...mommy and daddy love you!!!

Baby Bag's Nursery

Its Oct 1 and I am officially due. The anticipation is killing me. I have to say Mike must be nervous too. He just hasn't been himself lately. Its so scary and so exciting and bouncing between the two emotions can be a lil rough. I am ready for him to be here and see his perfect lil face! I have a doctors appnt tomorrow. I am hoping that brings some encouragement or even brings on the labor!! For now the waiting game it is...atleast I feel good.
I have finally finished Max's nursery. For those of you who know me, know I have to make everything myself...so it took forever! But it was worth the wait because Mike and I love it. It was so much fun planning for a lil boy. Mike was very happy that it was done in the sports theme he picked out. A special shout out to Grandma Sandie who made his bedding...it turned out perfect! Thanks to Grandpa Jim who built us an office so we could make room for our little guy...it was a lot of hard work! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Bags for buying him his furniture...and to Aunt Dani and Tessa for all the vinyl fun-ness and who were such a big help! We so much appreciate everything everyone has done for us!!! We are so excited!!! We love you all!
