The lil Libra

Oh how the mind will play tricks on you. I have spent every night absolutely sure my labor has begun. Each night I mentally prepare myself that this is it...stay calm and try to rest thru the discomfort. Last night my back ached so bad I was certain it was back labor and by the morning Mike and I would be off to the hospital. And then like some magic spell is removed I wake up feeling great. No contractions, no back ache..nada. Such a rude cruel joke I play on myself. I am just so ready!!

Anywho as of yesterday our little man is officially going to be a Libra. I found some fun tid bits about Libra babies on the net and thought I would share. Just for fun!!!!

The Libra Child

September 23 - October 22

Symbol: The Balances
Ruling Planet: Venus
Birthstone: Opal
Flower: Cosmos
Color: Yellow
Compatibility: Aries, Leo
As Children: Libra kids love beauty, colors, music, and the arts. If not talented in the arts, Libras will deeply appreciate them. Libras often are very sympathetic and good at using tact. They are good listeners, too. Libra children have amazing intuition and learn best from experience. These children are handsome or beautiful, as if their innate souls find expression in the physical. Give Libra kids artistic surroundings and an education in the arts. Teach them the law of cause and effect, that all life has interrelationship; this is the lesson of the Balances, as symbolized by the Sign of Libra.
Later in Life: Libras love justice. They are sensitive individuals and like to be shielded from the unhappy side of life.
Famous Libras: John Adams, 2nd US President: Oct. 19; Margaret Thatcher, British Prime Minister: Oct. 13; Jesse Jackson, civil rights leader: Oct. 8; Barbara Walters, journalist: Sept. 25

This child loves beauty and comfort. He will often act as peacemaker and go-between, unable to bear discord and inequality. At times, he tries too hard to please everyone so seems indecisive. He is fair, honest and never gives avoidable offence, but can be strong-minded. He loves security and the company of others; a loyal friend and champion.

Personality key: Aesthetic, decorative, loving, co-operative, harmonious, fair, sociable and likes equality.

Parent power: It is a mistake to think that the unassuming Baby Libra can be pushed around.
The Libra Baby

The Libra baby is sweet and charming. This baby does not actively seek to be in the spotlight but will find herself the centre of attention wherever she goes. The Libra baby is even-tempered and draws people to her by her charming disposition. She loves to be around others and parents will often find her mediating disputes. This is because diplomacy and tactfulness are characteristic Libran traits.

The Libra baby can be very picky about her appearance. This baby wants new clothes and hand-me-downs will be frowned upon. To keep her comfortable, clean, pressed clothes and a fancy room are necessary. The Libra baby is not above using her charms to manipulate people to ensure she gets her own way. By and large, the baby is very easygoing and will enjoy interacting with others.

NestBaby Pregnancy Ticker

Fashionably late!

I went to the Doctors today for my weekly update. Last week I was only 75% effaced. I was hoping today I would have made some dramatic increase..like 100% effaced and dilated to a 4. Oh but instead there was no change at all. Which really doesnt mean anything other than I probably won't have Max today...it was the other thought that occurred to me that was more disturbing. I realized that if this baby is like his daddy than he big debut will, without a doubt, be fashionably LATE! Just what this family of 3 needs is another late person in the bunch. Poor Kid. School day morning hell for all of us. The only good thing is we could all be late together I guess. :) Aunt Ida says its so Armenian standard time. However I am still praying for him to to be born without the late gene. I still feel like Sunday could be the big day. Its Aunt Ida's guess too. Grandma Sandie thinks Sat and Grandma Robyn had a dream it was this weekend too. So I guess we will see!!! We can't wait to see you buddy!

Another Sunday boating sunday

This summer has gone by so fast...I can't believe fall is almost here. Sunday we took the boat up to Jordanelle to enjoy some sun and fun. The weather was amazing. One of the best days we have had all summer long and it was such a fun day too! So much fun that the boys didn't even surf. Mike is seriously one of the funniest people I know. He had everyone in laughing all day long. He never stops! I love that about him...my life is never boring that is for sure. I was really hoping a boat ride around the lake would induce labor but no go :( I am surprised all the laughing we did didn't bring labor on either. I guess baby Bags isn't quite ready to make his debut. Maybe this weekend!

OUR LIL GUY AT 20 WEEKS

ITS GETTING SO CLOSE!!!

The anticipation is growing. Lately its been a roller coaster of wanting our lil guy here to hold and wanting a little more time to prepare. We always say "it would be so cool if we had him this weekend"..then as it nears we are like "well maybe next". Its scary when you know you are so close and have no idea what to expect. We really just want a healthy, normal and happy baby...when ever that is. I just can't wait to see him..will he be dark like his daddy or fair like me...whose eyes, nose...will he have hair? Its soooooo exciting..maybe this weekend..or next. haha!!
